Indoor ice climbing at the Ice Factor, 30th - 31st August, 2008

Myself and Mark spent 2 hours on a basic introduction to ice climbing lesson at the Ice Factor in Kinlochleven. Our instructor, Lorenzo was really good and very relaxed, and gave us praise even when we knew we were rubbish! Mark on the smaller part of the ice walls.

The Ice Factor is a great place to learn technique and gives you a lot of confidence in your crampons!

And, as your're top roped, you feel completely safe. I had to pinch this photo off the net which gives a better view of the whole ice climbing room.

Tim forgot to mention that when you go for a session you can stay more or less as long as you like -provided the ice climbing facility is not too busy.
This is great if you are a mean yorkshire man who likes to kick the arse out of all their activities!
It is also a real bonus if you are a discerning scottish gentleman who appreciates value for money!
